The Epitact Thumb Support was developed for people suffering from pain in the trapeziometacarpal joint of the thumb, usually caused by rhizarthrosis or repetitive movements. Its flexible structure keeps the thumb in a functional resting position, reducing the movements responsible for pain, while preserving the mobility of the other fingers. The EPITHELIUMFLEX® technology, integrated into the orthosis in the form of a silicone gel tendon, helps stabilize the joint, creating a slight separation between the thumb and index finger. This action helps reduce pressure on the joint and retain local heat, promoting pain relief during movement. It allows you to perform tasks such as writing, driving, using your mobile phone or working on the computer with greater comfort. The ultra-thin, lightweight and discreet design adapts easily to the hand and can be used under clothing without causing discomfort. The absence of Velcro fasteners prevents damage to clothing and provides greater comfort during prolonged use. This version is designed for the left hand, in size L, recommended for a wrist circumference between 17 and 19 cm. It is machine washable at 40°C and is designed to maintain its effectiveness for several months of normal use.
